📏 How long should your manuscript be?
One of the most common questions authors ask before submitting and a completely fair one. Let’s clear it up once and for all.
The technical requirements are straightforward:
• Minimum: 42 pages
• Maximum: 692 pages
• Manuscript longer than 692 pages? It gets published as two volumes.
Why do these limits exist?
It comes down to the physical realities of printing. A book with too few pages is difficult to produce, the spine doesn’t hold properly, and the result simply doesn’t feel like a book. A manuscript that’s too long creates challenges during binding and press runs. The 42–692 page range is where everything works reliably and the quality stays consistent.
Does page count affect your book’s price?
Yes, and it’s worth knowing before you finalize your manuscript.
More pages = higher print costs = higher price for the reader. It’s a straightforward equation. When we work with authors on formatting and structure, page count is always one of the factors we consider, because we want your book to be both high-quality and accessible to your audience.

Meet Babacar Sané BA, diplomat, researcher, and author published with Éditions Universitaires Européennes, a brand of Omniscriptum.

1. Pouvez-vous vous présenter brièvement et évoquer votre parcours de recherche ?
Je suis Babacar Sané BA, diplomate, universitaire et auteur spécialisé en diplomatie économique, intégration africaine et stratégies de développement. Formé en relations internationales à Paris et en sécurité nationale au Sénégal, j’ai évolué entre le secteur privé international et la haute administration publique en tant qu’Ambassadeur et Directeur de la Diplomatie économique. Mon travail académique relie recherche et action publique.
2. Qu’est-ce qui vous a inspiré pour écrire vos livres ?
Mes livres sont nés d’une conviction : le développement africain exige une vision stratégique claire. Observer les défis et opportunités du Sénégal et du continent m’a poussé à structurer des propositions concrètes.
3. Quelle est l’idée principale de vos livres ?
Mes ouvrages défendent l’idée que la prospérité repose sur une diplomatie économique proactive, des institutions solides et une intégration africaine assumée.
4. Qu’espérez-vous que les lecteurs retiennent de vos ouvrages ?
Je souhaite que les lecteurs retiennent que le développement est un choix stratégique, fondé sur la rigueur, la responsabilité et l’anticipation.
5. Si vous pouviez donner un conseil aux chercheurs ou écrivains en herbe, quel serait-il ?
Lire avec exigence, écrire avec courage et relier toujours la théorie à la réalité.
6. Comment décririez-vous votre collaboration avec Omniscriptum durant la publication ?
Mon expérience avec Omniscriptum a été professionnelle et structurée, facilitant la diffusion internationale de mes travaux.
